There seems to have been an explosive interest in orchids of late, so this book is rather timely. Starting with 'A World of Orchids', the Rittershausens introduce species and hybrid orchids, explain how the orchids' natural habitats inform the growing conditions they require in cultivation, and offer tips on buying healthy orchids. Over 80 orchids are featured, divided into easy, fairly easy and needs care. General cultivation information is provided, including feeding, repotting, propagation and troubleshooting.
