UNDER the guiding hand of Sandra Bell, who's a horticulturalist at Kew Gardens, Plant has a conservation message and is aimed at 5-8 year-olds, although it has enough facts and compelling photographs to appeal to older kids.

In the Eye Wonder series, Plant is billed as a valuable teaching aid for parents and teachers, and perfect for first projects.
